Advice:
levaquin

Has anyone experienced what appears to be arthritis in the joints from flagyl or levaquin. I say its the levaquin. I thought that I strained my Elbow on the right , lost strength and it just aches. was at the time on both meds then just before my surgery I was on both again for over a month and now I also have it in my left elbow. I have researched that they both can cause this but both Dr and pharmicist claim nothing to do with the levaquin.

" Nope, I have not heard about this but ironically, I have been having severe joint pain in my hips and knees since surgery. Time for me to do some research!! Another thing.... will it never end? "

" good morning,

It is absolutely the meds causing this. I was on levaquin and flagyl for about 5 weeks. I had pain in my elbows, knees, and ankles. I could hardly walk, getting up and down out of a chair was torture. I had to stay on the meds until my surgery. My doctor said it was the levaquin but to avoid another flare up before surgery there was no other choice. My pain did go away when i had surgrey. Good luck to you. "
