Does anyone know how to figure out how many points one can have in a day? I used to go to meetings but because of the cost no longer can afford it. I went to WW onh line but could not find the info.

here is the new way to figure out your points (its the momentum plan) i PERSONALLY FOUND IT GAVE ME TOO MANY POINTS, BUT I DONT HAVE THE OLD WAY.
ok...so 1. write down the first two didgets of your weight.. so if you are 120, you write down 12.. 2.if you are female give yourself 2 points if you are male you get 8 3.how old are you? 17-26 you get 4 points 27-37 you get 3 points 38-47 you get 2 points 48-58 you get 1 point over 58 you get 0 points 4. how tall are you? under 5'1-you get 0 points 5'1-5'10 you get1 point over 5'10 you get 2 points 5.Do you spend most your day.... sitting- you get 0 points occasionally sitting, but mainly standin- you get 2 point walking most the time- you get 4 points doing physical hard work- you get 6 points 6 nursing moms only.... solely breastfeeding- 10 points supplementing breastfeeding with some solid foods or formulat- 5 points so add all that up like this 1. ___ ___ 2. ___ 3. ___ 4. ___ 5. ___ 6.+ ___ ___ ------------- (your daily points) thats about as much detail i can give you.. coppied right out of my book. This is what I found in my WW book about the points.
your wt right now Points less than 150 pounds 20 150 to 174 pounds 22 175 to 199 pounds 24 200 to 224 pounds 26 225 to 249 pounds 28 250 to 274 pounds 30 275 to 299 pounds 31 300 to 324 pounds 32 325 to 249 pounds 33 350 pounds or more 34 hope this helps. Let me know if I can help with anything else. I stopped WW because of the cost but then I have joined TOPS. only $26 a year and I have much more fun and support with this group. TOPS groups do more things than WW does. Good luck with your weigh loss.

ya thats the "old plan" they have the new momentum plan, it allows more points, becasue they said that they are finding that the previous plan wasnt working for some becasue it was putting some people's bodies into starvation mode so they wern't losing weight. Im personally going by the old plan, i think the new one allows too many points, but thats just me

Just go to the internet and type in TOPs.com and you will get there site. And from there you can find the nearest meeting near you. Good luck

i just went on tops website and i found one in my area. im considering joining. but i want to see if there is one in media pa to since that is where i will be living next year.but yeah they sound really good and it has inspired me to get in shape and lose this extra weight. thanks for the info on tops i seriously appreciate it.
