" You sound so much like me. I get so discouraged when I only lose a little bit of weight after a week or two of following a diet plan; however, I didn't gain all of my weight at once. I am going to try to remember that I have steadily gained about 10 pounds a year and that is why I am so overweight. So, losing ten pounds would be like erasing a year off of my weight. I also have a five pound sack of potatoes that I am going to pick up when I feel discouraged to remind myself that 5 pounds really is a big deal. I am just starting out too. Good Luck! "

" I always had a problem one week out of the month when I was younger. Sometimes I even gained during that week. Could that be your problem? The following week I always had a big loss. But three weeks later the same thing would happen again at my weigh in. "
