I've decided to quit all alcohol for two weeks to see what kind of extra weight I can drop while dieting and working out.
I'm not a regular alcoholic but I'm sure the ocassional glass of wine and beer definitely adds up in calories. yay... GO ME!!! Posted on 11/04/09, 07:11 pm |

Yep - Alcohol used to be a hard one for me too. I've pretty much given up now, I don't even fancy drinking anymore and I do feel much better for it, also it's helped kick afew Ibs.

Ice cream is my nemesis. Two weeks would be hard. But I'm in No ice cream for two weeks. That will get us close to thanksgiving when I will insist on a scoop with my pie!

I haven't had any alcohol since my last gain. I think that was over two months ago. Every gain I have had has been when I had wine. I go to wine tasting now and then since I am near wine country. I always seem to buy a bottle instead of just stopping with a taste. I also go to Las Vegas. It's hard not to drink there.
Hubby is off ice cream too. I find hot cocoa just as relaxing after dinner with some mixed raw nuts. Made buy scratch (I use light soy milk) so I can use stevia to sweeten it. Cocoa is great antioxidants and flavonoids. I double the amount called for a cup of cocoa. It seems to have a lot of health benefits if you make it from scratch. The commercial cocoa mixes takes out all of the healthy flavonoids.
