Focusing on the Positives

I don't know about everyone else, but when I am trying to lose weight, I almost always focus on the bad things I have done during the day. So I decided that I would like to brag about the good things I have done during the day.

Today, instead of taking the easy way out and ordering a value menu meal from McDonalds, I got a sub from Subway instead, which was a huge step for me. Yay!

" Positive for Today? I actually walked 4 miles at our local mall, and then had a grilled chicken salad when eating out with one of my clients, which is huge, as I normally get whatever they do.

Thanks beesley for that info, i havent had a whole lot of time to look around here yet.

jimgreg- there is a reason why i specifically put "focusing on the positives". if you had read my post, i wrote that i had made the better choice out of the two. my goals are my goals, not yours. if you don't like the way that i am reaching my goals, then simply do not respond to the posts i create. it is not possible for me to not eat out at all, my life and job pretty much do not permit it. not only that but what works for you may not work for someone else, and there is just as much "unhealthy" healthy food at a "real" restaurant as there is at a fast food restaurant. " Today I did an hour body conditioning class then 10 mins on the treadmill. I have eaten very well and been drinking herbal teas so that I am consuming water. I did NOT eat the french bread I had in the house for my family. Someone at work told me I am losing weight! Hurray!!! "

" I also had a good food day today. Made a recommitment to healthy eating (only when I am truly hungry) and exercise daily (even if it is only gardening, cleaning the house, or walking a mile in the neighborhood).

Resisted having pumpkin pie with my husband after healthy dinner. Went for a walk instead and watched a show of PBS! "
