I want to lose 40 lbs by November 1, 2009. I've been overweight for 8 years now, and I am starting to feel like I will never be thin again. However, I do not want to give up!

I know I have to change the way I think about my weight loss. I need to stay positive, be patient, and strong-willed . I also need to be disciplined so I will continue to do the things I need to do everyday, like: 1) go to the gym, 2) eat the right foods, 3) keep a food diary, 4) restrict calories, 5) get 7-8 hours of sleep everyday, and 6) practice stress reduction.

I would like to form a group of positive people to support and encourage each other on our weight loss journey by being strong instead of whiny and negative.

Thank you susi for your great advice and awesome motivation... What's happening with the rest of you guy's??? Let us know how you are doing, good or bad..Any advice or issues you want to share or would like some input on feel free to vent here... I'll start if you like.... the last week has been up and down... first i was doing fantastic on the diet front but couldn't get the exercise going, and then i had the exercise sorted but my diet went to the pack... GO figure!!!, I put on the 4 lbs i had lost... it's those lying scales again...lol... I know i am a 125 lb weakling, but they will insist on telling me that i am a 215 lb heffalump!!! nothing but lies...lies...lies... (hmm)
Just when you think you have it all sorted ,it all goes to custard... Well girls and guys ,today is indeed another day... another day in which to make better choices and do what you know you need to do in the quest of health...so if things aren't going strictly according to the plan you have set yourself, know you are not alone and we are all here for you.. so share away guys...Wishing you all an awesome day today in which you make good food and exercise choices.
