I have a Pro-Form Crosswalk 375 E and I really like it. It has the incline and speed adjustment, plus it has the hand things so you can work out your upper body at the same time.

Not sure what brand I have but it has speed, incline, shock absourbers on the bed, read out for pulse, miles, distance, fan. I bought it a Sears.

I had good luck with Proform 500 something and now have Nordic Trac C2150. Good ones well under $1000.

Thanks! I was wondering about the shock absorbtion if it was worth getting that. I'm going to go shopping and comparing more models next week.

I have a Horizon brand treadmill and it is awesome! it's one of the more heavy duty types, good price, and definite good shock absorption - has these air bubble things under the ...whatever it's called - where you walk haha. (just got off work - brain fried!!) Anyway, I love it, got it at a sports store (MC Sports) a few years ago and they also have some dealer stores. They make ones for commercial use also. (mine has incline, speed, a built in fan, and programs) Good Luck!

Oh, forgot to mention the best thing w/ the Horizon treadmill - has a really good warranty! (and it's heavier duty.)

Thanks Katie, that sounds like just what I want. I need to get walking again and the weather is so extreme (hot hot summer and freezing winter)that I don't get out the way I should.
