I just saw this pop-up ad for a 2 day body cleansing that claims you can lose up to 12 pounds in 2 days. Is that safe? Anybody tried it? From what I understand, you take this supplement and mix it with water and you drink it every 4 hours for 2 days. It basically replaces food for 2 days. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried any kind of body cleansing. What was it like? Did it work? Is it safe? How often do you do it? You get the idea...information please.

I try to do a detox every 6 months or so. The last one i did was a 7 day detox that was bought in a shop. That didn't work so well for me. I had really erratic digestion (as a nice way to put it hehehe), no energy, some mood swings. When I did a detox (also 7 days) with the advice of a naturopath, it was MUCH better, no bad side effects and felt brilliant in the end.
I've not heard of a 2 day cleanse, but needless to say, I'm a little wary of things you buy over the counter without any real professional advice. Having said that, fasting has been used for centuries as a way to cleanse the mind and body....and 2 days isn't a long time... hmmmm.....
