Hey everyone,
I'm very new to this, but I feel that being able to talk to others who are in the same boat as me will ensure I receive the results I crave this time around. I'm still young (22) and I'm looking to no longer be part of the slightly bigger stereotype. I'm maintaining a Food Diary, exercising, and watching my portion control - just to begin with. If anyone has any advice or tips or anything at all, that would be really great!
Please and thank you in advance - Cait :)

" You are on the right track. My tips are:
1. Don't keep junk food in the house.
2. Always have tasty nuticious snacks ready-fresh fruits and veggies, nuts in small portions, popcorn (no butter), hummus (portion control, peanut butter (natural-portion control), turkey breast, low fat yogurt, low call fudge pops like skinny cow, avocado and whatever else you like that is nutrient dense.
3. Do not go below 1200 cal a day.
4. Find a buddy to be accountable to.
5. Expect to go off plan at times but never wait till Monday to start again-pick yourself up and keep right on going.
6. Try to workout 6 times a week.
7. Drink lots of water.
8. Never "diet" again !!!!! Just eat well and move!!!!! "

" Very good list of tips she gave you! I would add:

1. Get plenty of protein.
2. Eat 3 meals, 2 snacks at regular times if possible.
3. Check out Light & Fit Greek non-fat yogurt. One 5.3 oz. cup contains 12 gms. of protein and tastes so rich and satisfying I can hardly believe it's fat-free and 80 calories!

Good luck! "

" Drink lots and lots of water! Try making veggie drinks one of my favorite drinks are cucumber with pineapple. It cleans up any toxins and helps you lose water weight quickly!

" Welcome, you have gotten great advice. I can't add much. Here are two thoughts: find a type of exercise you enjoy and do that. And, even if you don't feel like doing any exercise, try to at least take a brisk walk. The point is to try to develop the habit of moving as much as possible, certainly moving at least for 20 minutes each day. And don't forget that several short walks in a day can add up to the same amount of time as one longer walk. "
