This morning when I was getting dressed for work I decided to try on a pair of jeans I previously were unable to wear. I couldn't get them buttoned or zipped with out laying on the bed and then the fat out pouch over the top and that just isn't pretty. I had put them on about a month ago and could get the buttoned normally but they were still tight.

Well I pulled them out and low and behold I could button and zip them normally AND the waist band was loose and I had to put on a belt!!!!!!

That just really kick started my motivation to keep moving forward with this!!!

What is your motivation??

" My motivation is very similar to yours: CLOTHES. I want to wear the good looking clothes that I already own, and I want to feel good in them. I've now gone a little in the other direction - I am having to have some things altered because they are too big. "

" My motivation is also buying new clothes. This month I had to buy some because the one of the dresses I have now you can fit 2 of me in it! I also get motivated when people compliment me how much weight I lost. A neighbor noticed it yesterday and it boosted my spirits up. It feels good when you hear compliments from others. "

" My motivation is to reach 200, somehow that is a magic number for me. I also want to shock some friends I see once a year for the super bowl. If I manage to lose the 50 pounds (like I believe that I will) I may take 50 pounds of cold cuts as a symbolic gesture of just what I have lost!

Yea, that is what I'm gonna do! "

" Way to go, Sossie! You must be so excited! Mine is the clothing as well. I can feel it when the weight comes off. My motivation is to have more feeling if that makes sense. Sometimes my muscles just feel tired or I can't really feel a lot. When the weight begins to shift again, that feeling is just incredibly good. I would love for it to stay imprinted on my mind so I can keep doing better and better.

Thank you for sharing! "

" I'm not gonna lie. Fitting into my clothing better and getting smaller sizes is a big motivation but as I get older (I'm 58), health is an even bigger motivator. I've improved my diet and lost weight and that has kept my doc from putting me on a statin which I dreaded. I'm within a healthy range for LDL and improved my HDL to 80. I want to have as healthy an old age as possible. "

" Way to go Sossie! Shucking those larger sizes out of my closet was such a great feeling. I moved them right out of the house so I did not have anything to wear if I gained back. I remember we had a wedding to go to and I never gave it a thought about what I was going to wear...the closet had lots of dresses. Well they were all to BIG and hung on me like sacks. While it was a good feeling...I had a time getting something ready to wear in 1 day! "
