Anybody on the Step Diet?

I read previews of the book and I like what I read.
I love walking and it will not be as hard for me. I also do a combination of the Big Breakfast diet and the Step diet. I would like to exchange ideas and have support if anyone is following the Step Diet.

" I've heard of most diets, but not the Step Diet. Could you please give us some info? What do you eat, and is it working for you? Myself, I'm on a high-protein, low-carb regimen. "

" On the Step diet you eat what you want. Whatever you have on your plate, you need to leave 25% on the plate. Then you need to walk 10000 steps every day. I calculate it for me about 1 hour. I can do this with no problem. I already feel better. 'You will not see results overnight, but you will. You need a pedometer, too.
If you have any more questions, let me know. "

" Where did you hear about this diet?
Eating what you want but leaving 25% sounds good but do they give you any idea how big a plate to use.. I could take several servings in that case :).

Good luck
Thanks for sharing "

" I do not know too many details. Order the book through ebay. it won't cost that much. I am currently waiting for mine to arrive. Go to amazon.com and enter "step diet". It will show you the book and you can look inside to get an idea. That is what I have done.
I hope it helps. "

" Very interesting concept. Here is what I found and I think I will try this. Getting the steps will be a huge challenge!

"The Step Diet puts you on a 12 week cycle where you are in "losing" mode, and then you go through a period of maintaining your new weight before starting another 12 week cycle. So, this is not a crash diet where you're going to lose 20 lbs in a month or anything like that. However, what I found is that it enables you to make a real lifestyle change that is sustainable, dramatically increasing the odds of long term success. I have lost 40 lbs following the Step Diet, and while I stalled out on losing weight about 6 months ago, I have maintained my weight loss rather than gaining it back. Now I am ready to start another cycle and continue on working towards my goal weight of 150. " "

Don't push yourself. Add 5 minutes every time you walk. If you do too much at once you will ache the next day, and you will most likely give up.
I have been walking a lot , so 10,000 steps is not difficult for me to do. But if you have not walked a lot, please, take it easy. "

Right now I am walking an hour to an hour and a half every day. Sometimes I walk for 3-4 hours, esp. if I am visiting a new place and have a lot of sightseeing to do.
I have not done the 12 cycle you mentioned, but I leave 25% of what is on my plate, and I feel lighter. I do know this is NOT a crash diet, but it is easy for me to do.
Losing 40 lbs is great. I would like to start with 25 lbs.... then move to 40lbs and I think I will stop there.
Any other information you have to share will be greatly appreciated. "

" I have a pedometer and would like to join you on the step counting efforts. I am a advid walker, doing all my errands by walking..I am not new to this, years ago, there was a heavy set man that walks across the country..called Fatman walking. I don't know how he is doing now, but with his efforts and counting steps..Its the only way to go.

I am low carbing and will use my step meter.. On my lucky days, I can only walk 3 miles..6000 steps. Its motivating on seeing the steps meter go up. My goal is 10.000 ..before this year ends.

Hoping you still steppin!! Let's do it!! :)
