Weekly Weigh-in June 24 - 30

WOW it is the last week of June already! Have you noticed that winter never goes as fast as summer? :)

Please join in our weekly weigh-in.

Share your weekly weigh-in once a week either from your weigh-in day last week or this coming week. If you feel uncomfortable posting your actual weight just post the pounds lost or gained.

As for myself - I had a great week with the exercise! Reward is feeling energized and walking taller! Has anyone else noticed how different your body feels as results to exercise?

Weekly Tip: What if you are good only part of the time on your weight loss journey? What if you have 5 great days every week, is that good enough? If you cheat will it cause you to fail?

1. You will gain 1 pound in a year if you eat 10 calories a day more than your body burns. (About 1 extra Hostess Twinkie* every two weeks.)

2. You will gain 2 pounds in a year if you eat 20 calories a day more than your body burns. (About 1 extra Hostess Twinkie every week.)

3. You will gain 5 pounds in a year if you eat 45 calories a day more than your body burns. (About 1 two-pack of Hostess Twinkies every week.)

4. You will gain 8 pounds in a year if you eat 75 calories a day more than your body burns. (About 1 extra Hostess Twinkie every other day.)

5. You will gain 15.5 pounds in a year if you eat 150 calories a day more than your body burns. (About 1 extra Hostess Twinkie every day.)

One single day off program can easily add enough calories to push your average calories per day far higher than 10 or even 150 calories per day for your week. And that means you will gain weight

" Lost another pound! 7lbs total. I have had a couple of bad days, but I'm hoping I'm still down next weigh in! Getting back on track after the weekend. Good luck to everyone! "

" I weighed 226.5 this morning. At my all time high I weighed 275 in 2009. I hadn't weighed myself in a long time and when I saw that number on the scale and realized I was closer to 300 than 250 I said ENOUGH! I lost 90 pounds (down to 185) by eating like a normal person. I just cut out sweets (my nemesis), bread, and most starchy vegetables. I concentrated on lean protein and non-starchy veggies and a little fruit. I lost my job in 2010 though and my weight started creeping back up from emotional eating. I got back up to 235 but I'm back on a losing trend now. "

" Welcome Mygirl to the Weekly Weigh-in thread.

Lately we have been having a dozen or so responses to the thread each week. Some are regular posters each week and some post a couple times a month. I find it helps me to stay focused on my weight loss plan when I share my sucess or lack of it. "

" I'm down to 231!

I've been at this weight previously, before one of those family intense party filled weekends. This is down 3 pounds from last week's weigh-in.

So I'm headed in the right direction again! "
