Weekly Weigh-in June 10 - 16

Please join in our weekly weigh-in.

I noticed a theme with last weeks postings...small gains! What's going on out there? Are we enjoying the summer with too much of the wrong foods? It looks like we have some damage control to do!

Share your weekly weigh-in once a week either from your weigh-in day last week or this coming week. If you feel uncomfortable posting your actual weight just post the pounds lost or gained.

As for myself - I am an every day weigher and this week I watched the scale inch up every day! But today (Sunday) is my recording day and the scale came back down! WHEW! Now I need to look back at my week and see what was going on…exercise was good, water was lacking, and add in a few cold beers. HMMM…more water - less beer!
I am enjoying the summer with the wrong goodies!

Weekly Tip: Try small, consistent changes.

A few swaps a day—yogurt and fruit instead of ice cream, black coffee instead of a mocha, skim instead of 2 percent—can really add up, and small changes are less daunting than, say, a complete menu overhaul.
burning calories, your metabolism basically shuts off, and stores all food as fat. Your body isn't sure when it will be fed next, and therefore the metabolism stops working. You can actually gain weight through this phenomenon

" hi everyone. i just joined this group and i weigh myself everyday as well. today is my weekly weigh day though and my weight is 215lbs. and holding. i've been this way all week. today i briskly walked my dog for the longest walk ever so far and it was for 53min. i use this whole lifestyle tracker from your daily life, mood, food intake, exercise, measurements, weight, etc.. and it calculates your nutrition intake, calories ate, burned and what you can have to reach your goal. it's located in the "prevention magazine" website . you click on the category "health tracker" at the top right of the page. it's excellent to really know what you're putting in your body and how your lifestyle is really effecting your progress and health. God bless all of your efforts "

" My weight loss progress has been slow however I am not giving up .
I only weigh weekly and weigh in at 228 today. I have been working on not skipping meals and incorporating snacks in between my meals. It takes some getting used to because I hate breakfast foods except for grits, hard boiled eggs and an ocassional cheese biscuit. I eat dry cereal as a snack not much of a milk person. However I am determined to lose the weight.

Motivated to work harder this week.... Keep up the good work everyone! "

" Today is my official "weekly weigh in" day; but like others here I weigh myself every day. I do it before working out. That frees me from feeling like I can't drink during a work out because I will weigh more!

233 down from 250 on my way to 200.

For me this is the good side of the obese line! So yea, I'm no longer obese according to the charts. "

" Last weigh in I was 169, this week I weigh in the same. The last 2 weeks have been rough. I had good momentum going for a while but since school started I haven't been able to find the time to work out like I usually do and I have to work out to lose weight. Goal for this week stick to my meal plan and squeeze in some activity. Even if I can't get to the gym. Good luck everyone and keep up the good work. This whole being, trying, getting healthier thing is not easy. haha. "
