I have been having a hard time losing weight. I have been walking for 6 days a week with one day break. I am very limited on what I can do because I can't afford to go to a gym to work out or buy equipment from a store. I want to be healthy and fit but can not keep the weight off.

" Welcome! I know what u mean. The last 3 wks. my weight has not gone done. I hope i can break thru this plateu soon. There's alot you can do without equipment. I get dvds on amazon.com very inexpensively and u can also find them at the library. Use cans or water bottles for weights. U can do jumprope without the rope. Make a routine up. If u go to revolution.com and look at harley pasternak's tips he has alot of info on things u can do. Today, I did a routine off of youtube.com Also, alot of gyms do month to month and u don't have to sign a contract. I know of some that are only $15 a month. "

" I made a commitment to myself to walk everyday. Once at work (lunch) and in evening after dinner. Some days I have missed 1 walk sometimes both, but most days I have 2 walks. Have lost 9.5 lbs in weeks so far. I have changed my eating habits. Have not cheated once. Lean meats, soft boiled eggs, raw nuts. Zero percent fat greek yogurt, limited fruit and TONS! of fresh vegetables (constantly - all day in fact) Lots of water, limited caffeine. no grains, potatoes, starch in general until I have taken a little more off and I will slowly bring it back in limited portions. "

" Dreamer247,

are you dieting also or just exercising? I guess it would make a difference how many calories and/or fat/carbs versus how much exercise.

Im new here, too. Just joined today.

" It s hard to diet because I dont have the funds to eat healthy. Its also hard because I only get two home cooked meals a week otherwise j eat tv dinners. I have only been exersising. I cut back on junk food and soda. "
