Well, I have gained some weight over the last 3 years or so. I am currently about 210, and I want to lose some weight for myself. I found someone who is fine with me the way I am, and I think that has made a big difference. In past relationships, I constantly had people putting me down. So, someone who accepts me the way I am encourages me more. I know that I can lose weight, but I need a way to vent. I have a toddler, go to school, and my boyfriend is a semi truck driver, so I do not have lots of time for myself or many people to talk to. I am hoping that participating in something like this will give me the support I need to succeed with my weight loss!!

" It's ironic that when people around us pester us to lose weight, we usually gain--but when we've got a person who loves us as we are, we feel we'd like to improve ourselves. It can be a sick feeling in the soul when our significant other doesn't accept us and we have to jump through hoops and prove ourselves. But the wonderful, relaxed feeling of being accepted and loved is often the precursor to doing it for ourself! Best wishes. "

" Thanks everyone! Being treated with respect definitely does help out a lot. Well to answer your question, I started at about 210-211. I would like to lose 45 pounds. Hopefully by June 2012. I want to give myself a fitness goal also. I like to do taebo, but I have wanted to get into running more. So, I have thought about starting that up more in the spring time and maybe running a 5k by my birthday in july. I hope it all works out! "
