weight gain and acne

Anyone here seem to have these two problems together? In the last year I've gained a good 10 pounds, which on my small frame is a lot. I've been too heavy for quite some time but in the last few months even things have gotten even worse! I'm tired all the time, hungry all the time and my face has broken out! I haven't had the nicest skin since I hit my mid 20's but it's never been this bad! I'm wondering if there's any connection between the two?? I've been reading up on Adrenal issues, sure seems like I have ALL the symptoms, is anyone familiar with it??
Thanks for listening!

" are you eating mcdonalds? there french fries give me the WORST acne ever! Also, just don't touch your face. My acne got worse in my 40's for some reason but I started using acne gel/cream on it every day and night and I stopped touching it and now it is almost completely gone. I also scrub it daily with PanOxyl 10 % soap that you can get at a CVS type store. I also use a "buff puff" scrubber with the soap to exfoliate my skin and I have the pores of a 20 year old. Not to brag or anything I am just telling you it really works! I have been doing this since I was 13. I have also had a problem w/ acne since I was 13 and now since the cream it has been better. But stay away from greasy food! I hope this is helpful :O) "

" hollidayddd: Not to be rude but of course I'm not eating McDonalds ;) I'm trying to lose weight...I hate fast food. I've also read and been told by dermatologists that the whole greasy food thing is a myth. Thanks for the ideas though, I'll check that stuff out! :) I never had acne as a teenager, had beautiful skin, then I hit my mid 20's and it all went to hell :( I've been to dermatologists and had facials and chemical peels.... Nothing seems to work but since I've gained weight it's gotten worse :( I'm just asking if anyone has seen a connection between weight gain and acne........ "

" Hi,
It could be hormonal. Are you having hair issues, too? I have a thyroid problem, and it wreaked havoc with my weight, skin and hair as well as emotions. You should go to the doctor and get blood tested.
Take care!
Hannah "
