Help with Carb Cravings

My pdoc recently reduced my Adderal, and now the Lithium is making me crave carbs in a major way!

I HAVE to eat when the urge strikes. Any good suggestions of healthy things I can eat that will fill me up, and satisfy my need for dense food at the same time?

" I take medicine, not the same but still plenty of it and my doc. told me to take probiotics. And, I have found that I do not crave sugar or starch anymore. Medicine can wreck havoc on our gut. There's even something called "leaky gut syndrome". There is a good site online that has good prices. www.iHerb.com. "

" I would recommend eating food that is rich in fiber - whole wheat English muffins, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, oatmeal, and so on - they are all good for you and will help you feel fuller longer. You might also do a quick internet search and check out lists of fruits and vegetables that show which are the highest in fiber, and incorporate them into your meals. I was surprised to learn that raspberries are at the top of the list, so I have been eating more of them. I also eat celery and carrot sticks every day - you can munch on them without worrying about calories and they will fill you up. "

" Thanks for the advice. I eat a yogurt that has probiotics in it, and I love fruit, especially raspberries. Must learn to reach for those things first, instead of bread and crackers! Off I go to have some blueberries and vanilla yogurt...... "
