Okay, well the other day my brother and sister were flexing their ab muscles. I flexed as well, but the problem is that i have a layer of fat over mine. I mean, i can almost see a slight 2 pack forming and my upper abs are more defined. But it looks really gross with fat over top.
WILL this eventually come off with more ab workouts or will it just make it bigger? And i know cardio burns fat also...

I've also been noticing that my arms are a lot more muscular as well. They're bigger than your average teenage girl's arm i'd say. They're not as toned as they are "buff". Can i fix this somehow?

I'm still learning about this stuff, so please help me as much as you can. Just because im an adolescent teen doesn't mean it's stupid to help me out, like people have done/said in the past. /:

" its all bodyfat percent and losing fat.

the reason people think theyre 'toning' is because doing some strength exercises makes it more likely that your body will keep muscle and give up the fat.

diet.. resistance.. cardio. it takes all 3 to get abs. cutting calories too much or too much cardio will just make muscles like abs smaller and less visible. "

" You sounded as though you were referring to spot reduction "WILL this eventually come off with more ab workouts", which does not exist. You just have to lose more body fat from cutting in general (as J4A mentioned). "

" Well I know that spot reduction isn't possible.
I'm just saying, will more ab workouts make my stomach look even bigger as the muscles get stronger?
But I guess I wouldn't have to worry about it with diet and exercise since the fat will come off anyway.
& thanks a lot for everyone's help. :) "
