next tuesday i am going to Davita to check out home dialysis. At least if i decide to do home i can be in control of my machine instead of waiting for tech. to reset! like i said its a machine adjustment and when there are 10 chairs 2 tech. and a nurse they dont have time to reset the minimum trip point on the machine!
Actualy when my machine quits my blood presure drops way down. I always clott fast and i think when it stops it starts to coagulate but not clott compleatly. Then my pulse rate goes up, and yes i know what happens if i quit. I have watched three other people make that decision this year.It is not what i want to do but they take me to the edge every time it happens.
look some people go thru this easly and thats great. I try and stay positive but its hard to do i live for my granson nothing else.

" Home dialysis has a lot of appeal.

And by the way living for your grandson is reason enough.

I've never gotten on home dialysis because you need a competent caretaken around while running. If you pass out during dialysis you could bleed out among other things.

I'd take all the courses they have to offer on the procedure as the knowledge you gain should help you at the center.

In fact I think I'll do that.
Let us know what you learn. "

" Hi There;
I have been doing home dialysis since 1/15/08 and I love it!! Get the training and go for it!! Dialysis at home is much more comfortable,easy on the gas for the car and makes you feel so much better!! I refuse to get a transplnat ...been there done that so now the only thing left is what I'm doing. I must say I go through the same down feelings you go through and was almost hospitalized last week for depression but my Doc and husband got me past that. Keep pluggin!! I have a new granddaughter due in June and she's gonna meet her granny!! She will be given my name and I want to be there for that!!
Wishin you the best!! Sue "
