Diabetes Type 2 Support Group

To update my earlier post, I have contacted DS with my concerns and perhaps should not have vented in the way I did.
I do however believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and with frustration rearing its ugly head I will refrain from posting on this site again. Not because I am beaten, not because I am ashamed but because I have found another group that is not overcrowded by people who believe everything they say is written in stone.....

Two good resources I usually just read what they are saying I I have something relevant etc.....
Socks is too concerned with diabetic drug medications search
bloodsugar101.com I consider this woman's interpretation to be most likely correct on the dangers of some diabetic meds Metformin is not of a concer vit deficiency eaasily resolved.

Socks also believes FDA recommendations ie ( Mangosteem) and advocated them in the mistaken belief would my heatlh system lie to me to make money for a special interest group...

Socks was the reason I joined this group I wanted to monitor Metformin warnings The grapefruit string was hilarious Socks was indomitable she just carried on Everything is cool with Socks she a novice. Also she is unendure a crertain amount of stress and confusion.

The one where you are welcomed and allowed to have an opinion in.... Oh yes... thats the one.... the one where you can actually say your piece without being bombarded with comments like the trolls....
I would prefer to be a troll than a group who linger on words of an inexperienced self promoted Group Manager or her hoard of brain washed followers...

Insensative comments telling people who have eating disorders which can lead to diabetes in not only inhuman its imoral and will do nothing to help with peoples self esteem..
It is deprimental to health. It is not support. It is unkind and it is not human.

I for one am up for this and can and will make it a mission to bring this ill advice to an end...

Agreed sometimes her answers are qite coarse and she would shamelessly care the new away from Metformin. Im no sue what I make of the woman My only concer was the Met issue I joined to inform Goldiw of a benefit plan in Albera she was unaware of unfortunately seems she does not qualify.

I hink most people can makeup their own minds etc... what I go to forums for is the off chance o being offered something releant. Very arely happens I have been researching for 5 years.

One benefit of DS is that in real life you make better decisions hout to talk when you run into a diabetic it is a learnin curve. Socks is an intelligent woman she just leans to the right to far.

I agree with Paul/Jordan. Andy, you've been here long enough to sense that most of us have moved on. Please don't do this now.

I read both Dealing with Diabetes 2 (under "Groups" in the upper right, for those who can't find it) and this and I was enjoying both of them.

You have valuable information to offer about GBS. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your experience w/that. Why not start a topic or two of your own on that subject (or any other)?

Should your advice leave someone critically ill or even dead I hope you have a clear concious and can sleep soundly at night...

I am worried SOME (not all) of your comments and the way you approach them could be deprimental if not dangerous...

This is not and never was a personnal attack. I was out of concern.
I am not the first and wont be the last who questions your medical profesionalism or your knowledge of diabetes.

I am sooooo done with this the women, she has no concious and obviously does not understand what damage she can and will do with SOME of her posts.
This has obviously been said before and brought up on numerous occasions.
I AM NOT the only concerned or worried that she occasionally offers thoughtless and possibly harmful advice...

Why does this bother me??? Why cant I give up on this??? because I care and because I have had a terrible time with diabetes....I have been frowned upon, looked down at and put down by insensative comments most of my life. I wont put up with it anymore...

YOU ARE NOT all knowledgable SOCKSFUZZ, I am one diabetic who disaproves of some your input, I disagree with your self appointed highrachy.... and the verbal attacks of some of your moron followers who just love to stick their nose in.....

Guys Please,

This group is so unlike any others I visit...
Day to day troubles need supporting, we all need a friendly group to wander into, have a giggle and be amoungst friends.
I fear my outbursts in previous posts have brewed up a storm here and thats not what I'm about. not at all....

Perhaps If Socks would consider starting a group for pre diabetics her followers can flit between both and let us repair what can be salvaged for this much needed group....

Just a suggestion...

This can be a happy place where we can support, comfort and care for without everything googled being chucked down our throats without any thought...

CL or no CL... use the ignore..I have and I can get on without the frustration...

I am diabetic, I have a lot to share through experience and living the life....
How sad it is I had to turn to GBS to try to control a disease that was and possibly is killing me everyday..

That said, I have no regrets.

Socks, Please do the decent thing and take your debates to a new group of your own for those that will appriciate your input. You will have a lot of followers I'm sure, and you would be welcome to promote YOUR group anytime...
You will become your own CL and can ban and delete post to your hearts content....

Please Socks, at least think about it...
