I have really bad neuropathy of the feet. I can hardly walk. My doctor has me on Gabipentin, but it doesnt do a thing.
I heard Lyrica is really good for neuropathy. Is anyone on it and does it work? Any side effects? Thanks. Posted on 07/02/09, 12:07 am |

I agree forgotmath,
Big difference between homepathic uhhh... medicine or whatever it falls under ! And Nutrients and vitamins which are a science in my book! To each his own! Neuropathy is my biggest gripe about diabetes and having end -stage liver failure, it pales in comparison to liver symptoms. If you have both there are very few choices left on the menu. I just don't eat much! My feet and fingers are burning right now and other then narcotics,(the doctors all but throw at me), i just try to endure, take my vits and nutrientss and try to keep my mind busy dreaming of better days! I know I shall die soon but I will live my last days with a big smile and lots of humor and try to get along with all! When the pain gets to bad I break out the TENS unit and it takes the edge off!. Good health to all! Mark

The slowest and hardest treatment is also the most permanent. Rebuild your circulation and nerve endings by keeping your BG in the normal range and exercising and doing yoga to restore circulation and stimulate new tissue growth. Drugs give faster relief but they change nothing as far as repairing the actual nerve damage. (No reason you can't do both.)

Hi Goldilocks,
I posted your question over on the Lyme group, hope that's OK. It's starting to get some replies: http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Lym... -FM
