So, how high did your BS go? Dont beat yourself up. Its ok once in a (long) while :)
Whenever I do this sort of thing and feel guilty, I try to go up/down a flight of stairs about 10 times...it brings my BS down atleast a bit

Don't feel bad. It's hard to always be perfect, no matter how much we want to be. I hit a really high note, so to speak, a few weeks back after trying out a recipe for a slushie type drink made with watermelon, unsweetened powdered drink mix and ice. Boy, oh boy, that pureed watermelon hit my blood sugar like a skyrocket on steroids. Wow!!! Fortunately, the high didn't last very long because I was working my backside off with a lot of housework and laundry, but it was real shock to the system when I saw the number. Now I know, dilute the watermelon like crazy and measure, measure and measure again the watermelon.
Golly, I love watermelon, but it can really sneak up on you, just like homemade ice cream. Between the milk, cream and sugar, the carbs can go out of this world.

I love watermelon so much I can't even taste it anymore. One taste and I will eat a whole one.

A diabetic I know ate 4 ears of corn the other night and the next morning her BS was 300. So you see, we all do it.

Arline, I know exactly what you mean about the watermelon. That stuff is addictive, almost as bad as chocolate. At least with chocolate you can find ways to reduce the carb content. Not much possibility of that with the watermelon. Do they make sugar-free watermelon jello? That might be the only way to get that taste again and not send the BS in orbit.
It's really kind of funny when you look at the different stuff we all get cravings for at one time or another. Me, I couldn't care less about four ears of corn. Birthday cake (one of the ones I make) or watermelon or blackberries, that's a different story. I could do myself some serious harm with those.
