Diabetes Type 2 Support Group

I recently took Lyrica for numbness in my right leg. I developed major swelling in my ankles and feet. It was horrendous. I was told that it was a major side affect of the Lyrica so I stopped taking it immed. I also put on 11 pounds in a week. I was wondering if this was a normal reaction, has anyone else had a bad time with this med? The neuropathy went away, thankfully, but I'm afraid it will come back again since it comes and goes at will. Thanks for any info about this drug ;)
