Advice:
Diabetic diet confusion

I am looking for an easy to follow online diet diabetic site. One with sample menu's and a meal tracker would be awesome. Does anyone have any ideas? I lost a great deal of weight following the South Beach diet, but it is rather expensive, and has a a great deal of cheese. At this point, I just want to make wiser choices and have some meal ideas. There seems to be a great deal of contradicting info out there. I.e. Low Glycemic is good for diabetics vs. low glycemic index based on faulty science. ugh....I used to think I had a handle on what was healthy, now I'm just confused.

Nutrition Data is a great site for helping you to learn the nutrition data associated with any food you eat. I've posted this several times...I really like this site for it's information although it is not Diabetes specific.

" I don't know any websites, but I warmly recommend Neal Barnard's book, "Dr. Neal Barnard's Program For Reversing Diabetes." It's helped me a LOT, and the plan takes a lot less tracing and counting and note-taking than the ADA recommendations. "

" Julie I have heard of that. Do you have a link to info on the main organization? I'm having trouble finding it. I see a book and various conferences around the country but no main site. "
