I am a Type 2 Diabetic and I do take Avandemet. But I was wondering if anyone has ever heard or drinking wine or that alcohole lowers your blood sugar. Also if taking a few tablespoons of vinagar befor you eat would help keep your blood sugars down. Thanks

" I just got a new article from Prevention magazine that says to add apple sider vinegar to like salad dressings and stuff and it will lower blood sugar! You can also buy tablets over the counter! I have made salad dressing out of it and it is good and I was lower the next a.m. HEY it's worth a shot, what do you have to lose? "

" I don't know about it actually lowering your blood sugar, but vinegar does keep your stomach from emptying as fast as usual, so you feel full longer after a meal. Drinking the stuff sounds super gross -- I take it in tablet form. "

" Oh, garlic and goldenseal work too, not by changign the speed of your stomach emptying but by lowering inflammation in your system. "
