Hi everyone. I am a student doing a research project on CGM and pump for Type 1 diabetes and need your help gathering data. I need your help answering the following question:

What are the problems/complaints you currently have or is preventing you from using a CGM/pump?

I have created a short survey for more details that you can fill out here: CGM and Pump Survey

Your time and help is much appreciated.

Thanks
dth

" I don't use one. What is preventing me is the risk of DKA. I inject long and short acting insulins. The long acting insulin keeps my blood sugars steady between meals and overnight. On a pump I would only use fast acting insulin and that terrifies me. If it jammed or malfunctioned in any way, there would be nothing to keep my blood sugars steady and I would have ketones pretty fast.

Other than that, mainly funding. CGMs are not widely available in the UK since our health service is funded through taxes. Pumps are available but only if you have really bad problems keeping blood sugars steady with injections. "

" My "organization" restricts access to the link so I can't answer. Maybe more people are struggling with such access restriction. If few questions, you might possibly publish them here along with an e-mail address whereto they can be sent (not answering them here, because then the answers are too widely accessible). If I am the only one, not getting a reply would be "normal" attrition.
Best wishes. "
