Diabetes Type 1 Support Group

I've never heard of this. I don't think it does, but I have heard of people acting differently if their blood sugar is either high or low. A friend of my husband's had a daughter with Type 1 who would get grumpy if she went low. I sometimes get hyper myself. Once I was on the phone with my mom and discovered that I was really low. She told me later that I had started saying things that didn't make sense. She said I was saying things that went against what I believe. I don't remember it, but I trust her.

I don't believe that insulin causes mood swings but low or high blood sugars do. Been a diabetic for 24 years and only time mood swing is when I am low.

I agree, low and high sugars can affect mood. It is especially bad if your sugars are swinging between high and low. If you can get them stable it will really help.
