Diabetes Type 1 Support Group

Hey Goldilox2,

Your not alone. LOL Or should I say I think 'we" aren't alone.

I now some other support groups I visit are slower as of late as well. With the nice summer weather I am hoping people are just plainly outside enjoying life versus stuck indoors at a terminal. Especially with it being bbq weekend aka the fourth of July here in the US I know a lot of people are out but you are right in that it still seems oddly slow.

I would have responded to your neuropathy question only I have no experience or advice. Next time I will at least say I am clueless but hope you find a positive answer soon! Sometimes it helps just to know you were heard you know?

Thanks Smith101. I guess I was getting a complex LOL I keep forgetting about your 4th of July, which is a big thing in the states, isnt it? I am from Canada and we just had our Canada day, which isnt as big as your 4th of July. I guess you are right too with alot of people on holidays and out enjoying the weather. I am mostly housebound, so I forget that people go out I find the heat really hard to breathe in too, so another reason I cant get out much during the day. Thanks so much for replying. Even if you dont have an answer, at least it makes you feel someone cares. :)

smiths right i bet daily strength is a lot busier when the weathers not so lovely .
i should make more of an effort and pop on more because i can imagine if someone puts on a post and gets no response its not very nice .

I am around most days. But I only have internet access at work and am a bit busy at the moment. I did not respond to your post since I don't have neuropathy and could not say anything useful. I did not want you thinking oh, someone has an answer for me, and then seeing my message which was not really helpful. I thought that might be disappointing for you so I didn't reply.

It is ok guys if you dont have neuropathy and have no idea what to do. It is just nice to even get a reply. I think this is a group for support, so even if we dont know the answer, we can still support each other :)
