Trigger finger?

I have been a diabetic for almost 19 years now. I noticed recently, when I wake up in the morning my middle finger will lock up, when I bend it. I thought maybe I injured it in the night or something at first. My wife then suggested I might have "trigger finger". I am curious if anyone else has experienced this at all with their hands? It is not permanent, and usually by mid day my finger is back to normal. I just seems weird.

" Hi darkknight1,I have this too on my right hand and my left hand is going the same way.It is Trigger finger and although there is a surgical procedure to fix it,I think it has to be pretty bad before the docs will do it.It can clear up on it's own but mine hasn't in 2 years and is very slowly getting worse.I have carpal tunnel too which doesn't help.I'd suggest a trip to the doctor to have it checked, make sure there's no underlying cause.Take care xx "

" I had trigger finger in both hands. I tried steroid shots and works for a while. Soon the shots did not work. I did have the surgery to correct the problems. Given as much pain I was in, the surgery was worth it to me. I am now pain free. "
