Most OTC products state that you should get medical advice before using.. Are there products I can use to ease my symptoms?

" I usually use something like 'Olbas oil' which you sprinkle on a tissue or your pillow. Or steam.

You can get sugar free cold medication but you still need to be careful - like sugar free sweets it could still have carbs or affect your sugar levels. Best thing to do is to ask your doctor/nurse or a pharmacist (not an assistant). Rest, test regularly, drink plenty of fluids. I hope you feel better soon. "
