After three hours of talking and trying to convince her not to go ahead with it I finally convinced her to call 911 and leave the phone off the hook. I agreed to talk to the police when they came. My Mom was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1992. She was able to keep it under control with the help of my Dad, but when my parents divorced in 2001, her diabetes took a turn for the worse, and instead of my Dad helping her keep it under control, it has fallen on my shoulders.
