Hi I know others must be curious as to what helps someone else. I go to pain management which has worked the best for me after trying different treatments for years I was able to find the correct dosage for me now. and the best combination of medication for me . along with the medication. Is diet because I have slow motility and vomiting along with barrett's caused by acid reflux this came about due to NSAIDS I have taken over the years where the doctor did not put me on medine to prevent acid reflux caused by NSAIDS. since PT is not an option acupucture is and water therapy could be an option. I have started walking it is one of the recommended treatments. I have been able to manage my pain with ths treatment but as you know this disease is slowly progressive. I am considering my next step to be the pain pump that way I can have the continuos morphine I need with less side effects and the dose can be increased if my disease progresses. This I have to talk about with pain doc. but either way my pain is under control. Little is known about how to treat this disease so it is trial and error I have lipomatosis everywhere in thighs, arms knees over ribs mine you can't see but feel the numerous nodules. and lipomas. to cut them out for me will lead massive scars surgeon won't do it because they can come back and or multiple. what are you doing to treat your Dercum's? Elch

" I find the best medication is the morphine and cymbalta. I had 24hr morphine but it didnot work. I told my nurse practioner that my pain subsides then comes baxk several times a day so I take my MSCONTIN 3x a aday and it works great my pain level is at a three. maybe you can try it see if it works for you. I tried other pain meds but this worked the best. please let me know how you treat yours, and Thank you for the reply Elch "
