So I know this doesn't really fit in in this support group. but I just wanted your view on the subject.
Is the swineflue (H1N1) blown up beyond reality? Is it what dominates your news? Posted on 11/10/09, 12:11 pm |

Oh my goodness YES! I feel horrible for people who have it, have had it, or know someone who did, but I do not think people should freak out about it. What happens will happen, and a little hand sanitizer won't change that much. I think the obsession with hand sanitizer is what bothers me the most. I never use it, and despite the fact that everyone in my school has been sick this year quite a bit, all I got was a slight cold, while many others (many use hand sanitizer) have missed school for days due to illness. I think that it's important to be careful and not share drinks and the like, but hearing about swine flu every other second won't change too much. That's just my perspective.

I think it's partly blown out of proportion. A lot of people make a great deal out of it and quite a lot more people think they have it when they don't. The news team just goes on and on about how bad it is, when they could be telling us more on how to prevent it, and that's what pisses me off most.

i agree with cloud. it hasnt even killed nearly as many people as the regular flue has! its completely blown out of proportion and its ridiculous. the news people need to focus on waaay more important things like politics or something haha.
