Alrighty!
So To preface this a little bit i'll tell you that 2 months ago, my girlfriend of 3 years dumped me. She was a cheater and treated me poorly She didn't talk to me at all the first month, but recently has started calling me again. At first it was friendly, but the conversations have been leading towards romantic again. Then today she called me..and started to explain that she was falling for me all over again. That it felt like it did in the beginning..That she was having a hard time being with someone else because all she thought about was me. I'm in the same situation with holding onto to feelings for her... So after that long winded explanation..I just wanted to ask.. Should I go back? I have a feeeling the answer is no.. and if I don't go back...How do I stop the feelings without ejecting her from my life? Posted on 10/31/09, 07:10 pm |

If all she did is cheat on you once, then a second chance is in order. If she treated you badly, I wouldn't go back. Unless she can prove that she's changed, she won't cheat on your or treat you badly, don't go back. If you decide not to go back, you've gotta try to remind yourself over and over again about what she did and if it's worth it to go back to her. I can't say if that's the best way to go about this, but it's the only advice I have as of right now. If you like her though, at least give her a chance to prove she's changed, like I said.

It takes time. Don't go back to her. Chances are she will soon be back to where she was; cheating and treating you poorly. I don't know how to stop the feelings for her. Just realise that your feelings don't have to control you. I know it is hard. We have established that between us. But it does get easier. It just takes time. And remember how she treated you, and how you felt. Do you want that again? No? Just keep that in mind.

It is a difficult situation. I agree with CloudStrife that if she only cheated on you once, then give her a second chance. If it happened many times, don't. I think what you shuld do right now is hang out with her and some friends and see how she treats you. If she treats you badly, then don't take her back. The feelings you have for her will make it really hard to do, but you should really do it. As for your feelings, they will pass with time. You need to find yourself some friends to create new memories with that will replace the ones with your girlfriend. Otherwise, you end up going through what happened to me, and you really don't want to experience that.

Just to clarify she cheated on my three times..this would be her 4th chance haaha.. I guess when i think about it more and more..i see how stupid going back could be.

It definatly wouldn't be your best move to go back dude. It will probably happen again and it just isn't worth the hurt.

if you still think there is feelings there and that this time you could take on anything if anything bad were to happen or history were to repeat itself then go for it, could be amazing. BUT If you feel you wouldn't be able to cope or risk going through it again then don't go any further.
