Can't quit smoking with out going suicidal !!!

Hii soi need to quit smoking so that i can have my damn surgery in october or some time around that, and my doctor won't do the surgery if i still smoke so i need to quit but smoking is the only damn thing keeping me from mental brake downs and flipping and just losing it so i need any ideas on how to quit smoking cause so far its the only damn thing keeping me from going crazy and suicidal again believe it or not and im fucking screwed if i can't have that surgery >.

Its like smoking is keeping me from going mental from all the shit that has happened for the past year and its a lot plus other things from the past i don't know why but smoking has become what keeps me together from falling apart and if i don't quit i won't be able to have the surgery i need to quit but i can't quit because it's the only thing that keeps me being me and not completely mental :/ so if anyone has had this problem i need your help !
