I apologize if someone has already had a similar post. I do not mean to be redundant, but I am a bit desperate to say the least. I realize I have been depressed for a couple of years now, not only from the way I see myself but little things other people notice about me as well. I have unfortunately heard of many teen deaths by suicide in the news, and sometimes in my own community. I do not want to die by my own hand, and my mother suspects something's up, but I'm too chicken shit to say anything to my parents and I feel like there would be no point anyway, since I have heard treatment does not help everyone. That is one of the reasons I joined DailyStrength, by the way (which I find relieving to know there are others out there whose outlook on life is just as grim as mine). Any uplifting response would be wonderful, please and thank you :]

" Telling people is always the hardest thing to do. But support from people you care about really helps. And some uplifting advice? You are kind of poetic when you said that your outlook was grim. It was honest and heartfelt. I'm here to talk if you ever want to. Plus I think I could help if you wanted me to. "
