I didn't take it for my depression, but for my attention deficit disorder - I liked it, it makes you feel good. However, it didn't do anything for my concentration, which is the area I really needed more help in. Also, it tends to wear off fast. Nonetheless, I liked this medication!!!

I also have ADD and took Adderal for my ADD but was taking off of it because my doctor told me it was only for children. It was helping me.....I never took it for depression I have taken Paxil and Fluoexitine(Prozac) and Wellbutrin....I am no longer depressed though...thankfully my depression was stress induced I think...

My husband was on Adderall for a while for his depression, but it didn't seem to help him much. At first it helped with his concentration, but the effects it had wore off after a while. I've heard good things about it, though, in helping with depression.
