I have been depressed for a while and last night my son told me he was depressed too. He couldn't tell me why and he couldn't tell me what would make him happy.

I am worried about it. I wonder if my own depression is "rubbing off" on him.

He does have PTSD from his bio-dad and over the weekend he witnessed a bad argument between his step dad and myself. It makes me wonder if that didn't trigger something inside of him.

Are there any good books for dealing with childhood depression either for us to read as parents, for us to read with him or for him to read on his own?

If I don't see improvment soon I will take him to see his doctor. He does go to a counselor once a month or so for help with his PTSD.
