My experience with Celexa was horrible. Extreme anxiety. Racing thoughts. Out of body-like/whirling sensation or sensation that my feet weren't touching the ground and my body wasn't touching the bed. Feeling that my appearance and voice had changed (I was constantly reassured I sounded the same, but I heard my voice sounded different). Unbearable night sweats. Constant thought of suicide. And coming off of it wasn't easy either.

BTW,I also went from Effexor to Celexa.

Okay...your scaring me! I was hoping for something positive! :)

It's supposed to be one of the 3 best antidepressants (along with Effexor and Zoloft) on the market, but ADs work differently on different people, right? What wasn't good for me might be good for you.

I'm on Celexa and I have not had any problems. Is working great for me!

Celexa was awful for me.....but, might help you....

I was on Celexa for about a year. It made me very nervous. My psych doubled the dose and I was crawling out of my skin.

I was just put on it yesterday, I'm already noticing that my anxiety is worse.

That is so weird because my doctor is doing the same process with me, but in two weeks she wants me to add Wellbutrin...

I have been on the celexa for 3 days now, and haven't really noticed anything, except for the withdrawal from effexor. I so hope it works,cause I am sick of feeling horrible all the time and I will never be on effexor again. The withdrawal while weaning off of it is horrible!
