Depression Support Group

I started taking this med back in august of this year. I do shift work - gravyard at nights...and I find this helps me to be more focused...I dont have to use as much ativan as I did before starting this med. It helps me get better sleep. My Moods seem to be better....they are also cutting out 1/2 of my caffine intact...and then trying another anti depressant on top of what I am taking now. It helps....I would really give it a try. Hi fieldhockey, I am on Lexapro, Xanax and now the doc has added Nuvigil too. So I too am wondering about it since I've seen it listed for use in Fibromyalgia and Narcolepsy but not depression. I wonder how you've been doing on it so far.

Hi thanks for your response, I have been taken off of this medication due to the amount of anxiety that it caused me. I take xanax for for my anxiety but I couldn't cut thru it being on Nuvigil. I hope this helps you out.

uh oh. I guess the true test will be tomorrow. I hope my anxiety doesn't kick into high gear. I'll let you know.

So since I was worried about the possible anxiety, I took only 1/2 of the 150mg Nuvigil tab today and I don't know if it's just that's it's finally also been two weeks at higher Lexapro and increased Lamictal today, but the Nuvigil kept me up and for the most part, I was not anxious. I am noticing now that though I wouldn't say it's anxiety, my heart seems to be going a bit fast - for the past hour. I think it's odd since I took the pill at 9 in the morning....I am guessing I should call my doctor before going lower on the dose. Would you know about that? Anyone?
