" I've been on it for about 3 months and I didn't really get any of the side effects I was warned about. I feel it has worked well so far for me, but as many have said everyone is different so just give them a go and see what happens! "

" One side affect that I had and I see that others have had is getting sleepy my Doc put me on welbutrin to stop that it has helped. Otherwise I have restless leg syndrome as a side affect. "

" I loved the Prozac and had very few side effects. A bit of restlessness when I first started, then once I was on it for a while, so I just started taking it at night, and had no problems with it. Good luck. "

" Ive been on these for like 2 an a half weeks now (20mg a day)

An ive felt terrible ive had a constant sore throat, cough an just on a whole feel very run down. I thought i just had the flu then i decided to read up an found out that these are some side effects from taking Prozac

Anyone else experienced this why on them ?? cos if its constantly gonna be like this im going off em straight away or does it stop after awhile of taking em "

" I have been on prozac for 2 weeks now. Making me very tired so I am going to try and take it at night. The only other things is sensations in my head. Not zapping like I had with paxil just werid sensations. I'm not freaking out about them it is just annoying. I don't feel like a robot but more not thinking about anything. But of course my mind was racing so much before this may just seem weird to me because I am used to it racing so much. It does take awhile for the meds to get in your system and I heard for prozac it could be 5-6 weeks. So I'm thinking the weird sensations are the meds building up in my system and will go away. I see my pdoc tomm so I'm going to talk to him more about this. "

" Prozac doesn't seem to be bothering me very much. Might be giving me a slight decreased appetite and maybe the runs. but that also could be from my severe anxiety. and my anxiety is not from the Prozac. My anxiety is actually starting to slightly decrease finally after a few months on prozac and 3 increases.

You usually have to give it quite awhile for the side effects to wear off and your body to adjust. Most people don't want to wait them out to see. "

" Prozac worked for the first couple months (20 mg) I was on it. Then I cut....I ignored it and tried to cognitively get back to normal/happy, and I did. This semester I hit a downward spiral with my anxiety, depression and obsessive thoughts. I cut really really bad....my doctor upped me to 40 mg and I have felt better lately but I, of course, have to wait a couple weeks for it to kick in. hopefully it will work like it did at first. I've been having mood swings and crying episodes but changing medication always leaves me in a weird spot for a while. Goodluck with your prognosis "

" I HAVE HAD NO SIDE EFFECTS WHATSOEVER WITH PROZAC. I CAN ALSO SAY THAT IT HASN'T HELPED ME SO NOW THE DOCTOR WANTS TO PUT ME ON 20 MG EVERY OTHER DAY AND 1 2 MG ON THE OFF DAYS WITH ABILIFY WITH IT. THE ABILIFY SCARES ME BECAUSE IT'S NEW AND ISN'T GENERIC YET. HE GAME ME SAMPLES. THE ONLY THING THAT MAY BE A SIDE EFFECT WITH PROZAC IS THAT MY MOM HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO CRY SINCE BEING ON IT YEARS AGO AND STILL CAN'T CRY. IT CAN SUPPRESS YOUR APPETTITE, AND CAUSE ENERGY SO DON'T TAKE THEM AT NIGHT. HOPE THIS HELPS. "
