I'm on it and have had no side effects. Mabe a little tiredness at first but that's it. It's the only med that is working for me right now.

not sure if i should tell you this honey but i figure its better to be honest.
i had a really sever reaction to prozac. i was violently ill - couldnt eat, fainted a few times at school, had a constant feeling of nausea, couldnt sleep, shook violently.......and then i ended up feeling emotionally awful - very suicidal, worse than i had been beforehand. HOWEVER apparently my reaction is VERY rare so dont worry too much ok.
i would say in the first couple of weeks you will feel nauseaus (sp ?!) and maybe dizzy.

Hi...I have been on Prozac for 5 years now. I found them the best out of about 8 different meds I tried. Everyone is different....and side effects are different for each individual. I am at present coming off Prozac and onto another antidepressant as I think I have been on them too long and I am now ....like others have mentioned...constantly sleeping, not eating and actually feel deeply depressed...although I am going through the menopause as well as being bipolar. You will have been on them long enough now to know if they are for you...please do not keep taking them if they do not agree with you...there are many other meds out there if Prozac does not work for you. constipation and neasua

tbh, I don't have many side effects at all. I did have a little hyperactivity in the begining, but that went away. It does make me sleepy, so I just take it at night.

For me only the first day was a drag, felt nauseous all day. After that its hasn't been that bad except for the sleepiness and being weepy and the appetite suppression. The easiest drug regiment though with just one pill a day in the morning.
