Since stopping my meds I have felt sooooo much better.
To the extent where I am taking part in a charity bike ride - something I could not have even thought about while i was on my medication.
The event is called Cycle China April 2011 and is in aid of a charity called Women for Women, who carry out research affecting women and their babies such as Cancer, infertility, miscarriage etc - very worthwhile cause and one which is close to my own heart and to many others who have been affected by female and baby tragedies.

This will be no holiday and no walk in the park. I have to be fit enough to complete 450kms over 5 days Eek!!! But I am determined to complete this challenge and support this cause.

I have started a justgiving web page for anyone who wishes to sponsor me (the link is below).

Thank you, thank you, thank you

" High five and a booty shake for you, lady!!

That's great that you are feeling better!

I know that there are definitely time when some folks need meds to help them get through, but I've always thought that too many people become dependent on them to the point where they lose their ability to actually get better, or lose their sense of self. That's why I have, thus far in my life, refused medication. Maybe one day it will be too much and I will need to use it, but for now I'm doing alright on my own.

I am really proud of you for being able to not just get off your meds, but to take ownership over your own healing process. You're a strong person who has done something that many many people have never been able to do.

You should be proud :) "
