ive been doing my best to help suyb with her problems, but i dont know anything much. she apparently has some spyware, trojans, or maybe a virus. i sent her spybot and advanced care professional. she ran them but it would not allow her to fix anything.

she said "what does it mean when yur page is black. all my icons on my desk top show up and my microsoft bar at the bottom is also visible, but the background is all black now, not my usualy blue.
I did download spybot the one yu sent me. It did download and I did get to runa scan but then when I wanted to fix/remove all of the problems it showed a box that my C Program said access denied. Kept trying but still got the same thing".

i advised her to try to download a multiple antivirus rescue disk from raymond.cc but her machine keeps kicking her offline, and thus far she hasnt been able to do so. she did download hiran's rescue disk but had a few problems with it. and i sent her a link to bootdisk.com as they have some good infor there. and also a link to spyhunter to run a scan and then go back and manually remove the m in the safe mode. she hasnt gotten that far yet. maybe there is a better, easier way??

but i dont know much about these bloody machines, past turning them on and cussing at them when they dont work fast enough. id hate to see her have to pay for a repair, surely someone on here can help her sort this all out. must be driving her anxiety nuts. i know it does mine when it wont work.

if no one can help i will post a help on raymonds.cc's forum. but i figure someone on here has to know this stuff. lots of smart pple on here. thanks

" push:

ctrl + alt + delete

all at the same time on the keyboard.

active programs will then be shown in a window.

close rundell(32) and then close any other program that seems suspicious. then open the internet window and remove the cookies and temp files.

that might help the booting offline until she can find what she needs.

black background normally means an HTML file is over the background picture. could be spyware for linking, or could just be javascript for pop-ups.

DONT DELETE PROGRAMS

just close them. if you close a required program, just reboot the computer if it doesnt restart on its own. if you delete a required program, your computer may not work. this is why i suggest ctrl alt del. "

" wow.. you couldnt ask me as I know nothing about pooters.. I am just lucky enough to know how to spell some words.. roflmao.. I hope she finds the problem..

My son that I work for had problems like that with his computer here at work.. His wife works for a dentist and he recommended his pooter guy.. It took days to try and fix and in the long run couldnt be fixed and it was only a year old.. Ryan ended up having to buy a new computer and the tech still wanted $1200.. Ryan told him he wasnt a dentist and couldnt afford waisting all that money.. lmao..

Needless to say, I hope this doesnt happen to SUYB.. I miss her. "

" Ive found Antivir quite efficient with dealing with malicious entries.
Always unplug the internet when you scan to clean, it makes it a little easier "

" girlie, you have a registry software program you use to clean it out? it can be a source of making it run slow. also spyware can slow it to a crawl. spybot search and destroy is a good one, ccleaner, helps clean the crap out, auslogics is a good registry tool,. these are all free. sometimes defragmenting it can help it run better as well.

advanced system care pro is a good product i was lucky and got a freebie upgrade. they do have a free version as well thats pretty useful too.

when it runs slow i feel like punching it, shows the level of patience i have at the moment...haha. they can be wonderful at driving anxiety off the charts. good luck with it "
