Getting rid of "Discussions"

When a new person comes to a group, they see 15 posts and think that's all there is. Through trial, they learn that if you click on "Discussions" above, it will allow several pages of posts to be accessed. I mean trial as they may think it leads to a page listing all the groups on this site or somewhere outside the group. How about allowing them to be accessed right off the bat and save people the frustration?

For some reason, when I click the "depression" tab to the left under my support groups...It always takes me to the "discussion" section. I do, however know what you are talking about as it used to not do that.. Strange.

If you look on the top of the discussion page they offer the option of other group. It use to be that the discussion board was the main board. The others were added with time and need of them.

The general discussion board need some pinned topics.
I would like to see the following: 1 . Introduction for Newbies 2 . Rate your Depression Today, or How Are You Feeling Today (A place for the "regulars" to check- in without having to write they're own post. 3 . Poetry and Other Expressions. 4 . Quotations. Which of these do you want to see everyday at the top of the General Discussions Board???? What other threads would you also like to have pinned at the top? Start the discussion going folks. The general discussion topic, without other, specific, pinned thread just means that some folks get lost in the shuffle quickly. With the addition of pinned topics at the beginning, these folks and their news would always be readily available, and they may get more responses since this might be where people start their day on DS -Depression. Just MHO BB

There is a user group called "New To DS?"
http://www.dailystrength.org/groups... There is some good information there. It looks like we will not get posts that automatically stay at the top, at least not for some time. So if there are posts that people think are really helpful then please feel free to bump them on a daily basis.
