I wanted to share this poem i wrote a long time ago. I was young and dumb at that time and didnt know what i was doing for my life or for the guy i thought i was going to spend forever with. I hope you enjoy :)

A Girlfriend's Prayer

Dear God,
Grant me the wisdom,
To stay by his side,

To be the girlfriend he deserves,
To love him,
To cherish him,

To give him the shoulder to cry on,
And to be there as a friend..

Grant me the love;
He deserves,
The moments when the world is asleep,
He's got someone to talk to..

Grant me the patience,
To hold him when he needs to be held,
To keep my anger at bay,

Grant me thoughts,
To keep when he is gone,
And to cherish when he's by my side,

When the world has their back against him;
Let me be the one to say that I haven't turned;
My back against him..

Grant me the hands;
The gentle touch;
The soft caress of my kiss;

Grant me the answers to his questions;
The tenderness in my voice;
And keep him near my heart for now to eternity..
