I rarely use this site and I feel a complete wimp but I wish I was dead. I don't even have the guts to kill myself what crap is that all about. I can't hold any decent conversations with people, I can't be myself, if I am myself I only offend people. So I play and pretend that everything is ok all the time so not to affect anyone. I can't always understand what it is people are telling me, I am now completely ashamed of who I am, what is the point of me being here, what do I really have to offer, I am not strong, I am so confused about everything.

You're not immature, you have real problems, but you can get help for them...yes, please let us know if you are in therapy, taking meds, etc....Many of us who are both older and younger than you are having the same issues, so you're not alone. And please don't feel bad about using this site, or weak...we all need support in our lives and positive thoughts and encouragement to keep it going. There is absolutely no shame in that.

Please dont be so hard on yourself, your only human and have some problems. I do hope you are or seek help from a dr. or as suggested therapy, and meds can work really well when taken as prescribed. Dont give up or give in hon. Theres many of us that care here. Hang in there and take it easy on yourself. hugs lexi

I really appreciate all your replies, I have been talking to my mum who has also been through a bad depression and she is going to come with me to the doctors. I am not having any therapy at the moment but obviously I need help, I always feel so guilty for feeling like this because I see so many other people who suffer who have been through worse things in life than I have. I feel pretty alone at the moment, but fortunately for me I have my mum. It's funny you can have everything in the World but if you feel unfulfilled in your self it's as if it all means nothing.

I feel exactly the same as you at the moment so don't be ashamed of yourself at all or feel its all your fault. I often feel like I'm having to put on an act to please everyone else & jump through their hoops of acceptable behaviour. It makes me angry & wound up too!! Don't go away, we'll miss you. Bats

Wow, how great that you and your mum are going together! Please don't feel guilty that you feel bad when others have it "worse"...your problems are very real to you and that's not taking away from anybody else. Please let us know how the doctor visit goes! :-)

Hey guys feeling ok today, not been to the doctor yet but I will promise to let you know when I do. I hope they are going to take me seriously because when I stop feeling down I start to look and behave pretty normally again, it feels like a switch goes every now and again, I'd really like some sort of a diagnosis though so I can see exactly what is what, oh well will find out soon enough, Anyway I hope you are all feeling ok today if you fancy a chat whether if be because you are feeling miserable, super happy or even just plain bored please feel free I feel it's the least I can do for all your kind words and support.

You are not alone, I have wished myself dead endless times during my life, and I am 34 years old I know it is scary to think those thoughts, but please remember that they are only thoughts and cannot hurt you, a upsetting as they may be. Feeling that way is in no way a sign of immaturity or weakness, it is just a sign that you are extremely upset at the moment. If you start thinking of ways to follow through on those thoughts please call a distress centre or go to emergency. You are not alone and you will not always feel this way - there is hope! What helps for me is to distract myself with other healthier activities. Make a list and just pick something and do it.
