" Gather about 100 dozen eggs, freeze them overnight, thaw them again, go to the mall, and show them what Christmas is really about.

***An egg frozen and thawed again is spoiled, smells nasty*** "

" A friend, a member here, told me they are using what they would have spent on giftmas and spending it on people who need food and shelter. Very cool.

I'm with you, DL! "

" I resolve to listen to my inner child this Christmas. I'm gonna be happy with cards and hugs. OK, I admit I'd be happy if there was a new car attached to a card, but I'm gonna go with the cards and hugs. And perhaps hope for a plate of cookies!

I am not going to care who had Christmas first.

I am going to wish everybody the holiday they want, be it religious or not.

I am going to cherish the friends who were there for me.

I am going to admire the people, especially here, who grew as a person this year.

I am going to realize that my hand can help pull a friend out of the pit, and that it can also let a friend pull me out of a pit.

I'm gonna cry the first time I hear a choir sing Silent Night.

I'm gonna laugh my behind off when I hear some of the better Christmas Carol parodies. (Perhaps somebody will combine the grandma reindeer one with the underwear thing!)

I am going to take walks with my wife to look at the Christmas lights on houses near by.

I may go to church this Christmas, perhaps settle up with some issues.

I refuse to be talked into this year's "in gifts".

And I just got an idea for a Christmas present for my wife. It involves an old movie, the couch, some hot chocolate and a big blanket. If there is rain or other winter weather outside so much the better! "

" .. I resolved not to buy something just because I couldn't find what I really think someone wants. Take my time and at least get something it took me a while to find. "
