A lot of SSRI's have the side effect of increased suicidal ideation, but most are reported in teens and elderly. I think the other name it goes by is Paxil. I had good results from a mood stabilization point, but the anxiety it caused was insane for me, plus the fact that it made me shake uncontrollably like having a seizure wide awake. But then again I am oober sensitive to meds so that is a part of it as well.
Weight gain, I don't remember, but may be possible, especially when paired with an anti psychotic. I took Zyprexa and ballooned and have heard of many others who had the same effect. Just give it a try and see how you do as all meds effect everyone very differently. Good Luck!
