Surgical Consultation

My youngest daughter, who is 6, has a surgical consultation tomorrow to find out if we will be doing surgery on her left eye. She has a degenerative muscle disease of her left eye, causing it to pull out and if left untreated, she could go blind by the age of eight. She has been in glasses for over 3 years with no improvement. She has only maintained and had slightly worse reports at appointments.
Tomorrow we sit down with the opthamologist, the muslcle balance specialist and the optomestrist to see what the next step will be. They have told us it is a surgical consultation so I am hoping the decision to do the surgery has already been medically made, otherwise we have to battle the insurance company who would love to list this as cosmetic, and not pay for it. Please pray for her, for us(her dad and I) or send us all your good thoughts and vibes if you would. And on an even more positive note, things are progressing REALLY well with CPS situation and that whole story is posted on my journal if you would like to read. http://www.dailystrength.org/peopl... when i was five i had a surgical operation on my right eye for "Duane Syndrom," (commonly known as i think 'cross eyed') but its all good, i hope all the best for both of you, and yoru family,

Good thing I am working all night, because I don't think I would be able to sleep.
I get off work at 730am, take oldest daughter to family therapy at 815, then drop her back off at school, go to the ex's where him and I will take the youngest to her appointment. I might be in bed by noon LOL. I will update as soon as I can. I have internet at home so will log on right before I crash for the few hours I get to.

Thank you for sharing your stories. Reading everyone's posts make me feel a little less alone battling with my own stuff. I'm sorry you're going through, actually have been going through so much. The appointment is not until 1030 pacific time, so should have a post up by 12pm pacific time. Still at work and getting very nervous. No caffeine needed to keep me awake today, im on pure adrenalin.
Time can not go by any slower...or so it seems
